Don’t Get Locked Out of Your Personal Account with ownCloud

As New York Times reporter, Maya Salam, points out in her article, Google Docs Glitch That Locked Out Users Underscores Privacy Concerns, “The alerts were caused by a glitch, but they served as a stark reminder that not much is truly private in the cloud.”

Salam went on to quote Rachael Bale, a reporter for National Geographic’s Wildlife Watch, whose tweets became recognized after she, herself, was locked out a document of a story she was working on. “Obviously this is raising questions in a lot of people’s minds about the level of surveillance in internet tools, like cloud-based tools.”
