There are many reasons to run your own Cloud! The latest reason? The Walmart versus Amazon battle that has just commenced\u2014simply put, competition.<\/p>\n

According to Barb Darrow\u2019s article Walmart Gears Up Anti-Amazon Stance in Wake of Whole Foods Deal<\/em><\/a> on Fortune, Amazon\u2019s plan to purchase Whole Foods has Walmart up in arms.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat acquisition takes square aim at Walmart’s bread-and-butter grocery business by giving the online retailer 465 new retail locations\u2014thus a much bigger brick-and-mortar presence.<\/em><\/p>\n

Now, Walmart is telling some partners and suppliers that their software services should not run on Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure, according to the Wall Street Journal.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Barb Darrow, Fortune<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This latest rift is just another reminder that we all should always want to know where our data is at all times.<\/p>\n

While you may be putting your trust in one company, who\u2019s to say that this company\u2019s partners aren\u2019t using a competing company?
