What exactly is climate neutrality?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Each individual and company is responsible for CO2 and greenhouse gas emissions through direct and indirect daily activities in their personal and professional lives. \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In simple terms, climate neutrality refers to the concept of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by offsetting or neutralizing this emission. This is achieved by first calculating the greenhouse gas emitted by an individual or an organization and then working on removing at least an equivalent\u00a0amount of greenhouse gas from the environment. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why care?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Global energy-related carbon dioxide emissions rose by 6% in 2021 to 36.3 Gigatonnes (gT) according to the new\u00a0<\/span>IEA analysis<\/span><\/a>. This increase marks the highest ever recorded level of global CO2 emissions in history. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The temperature of Earth has steadily increased by 0.14\u00b0 F (0.08\u00b0 C) per decade since 1880. The rate of warming over the past 40 years is more than twice that: 0.32\u00b0 F (0.18\u00b0 C) per decade since 1981. The year 2021 has made its way into the seven warmest years ever on record. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Extreme weather-conditions and natural disasters \u2013 hurricanes, tsunamis, droughts, famines, floods and forest fires \u2013 are at an all-time high. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These are not mere statistics. This is the Earth crying out for help. <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The danger is real. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The need to act is urgent. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thankfully, there is still hope. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
