While still bound by Apple&#8217;s rules, you can look at the source code, hack on it, compile it and test it on your devices under Apple&#8217;s iOS Developer Program. Most importantly, you can contribute your improvements back into the official app!<\/p>\n<h2>Improve the ownCloud iOS app<\/h2>\n<p>The iOS app is now available under a GPLv3 license and can be <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/owncloud\/iOS\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found on github<\/a>. To make it easy to get involved, our awesome iOS team has <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/owncloud\/ios\/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3A%22Junior+Job%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tagged a series of issues as Junior Jobs<\/a> and there is <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/owncloud\/ios\/blob\/master\/SETUP.md\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">documentation<\/a> to get you up and running. The legal notes can be found <a title=\"iOS license exception\" href=\"https:\/\/owncloud.com\/contribute\/iOS-license-exception\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> and <a title=\"contributor agreement\" href=\"https:\/\/owncloud.com\/contribute\/agreement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Android app continues to be <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/owncloud\/android\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">available on github<\/a> under the GPLv2 license, and <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/owncloud\/android\/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3A%22Junior+Job%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">also features Junior Jobs<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/owncloud\/android\/blob\/master\/SETUP.md\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">documentation<\/a> for those who want to find an easy way into the code.<\/p>\n<h2>Integrate ownCloud in your mobile app<\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to build or adjust your own mobile app to integrate with ownCloud, iOS and Android mobile libraries are available under the MIT license.
