In the <a href=\"https:\/\/owncloud.com\/history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">last 6 years<\/a>, ownCloud has grown from a project of a handful of people to a community of thousands of contributors and <a href=\"https:\/\/owncloud.com\/blog\/owncloud-grows-to-8-million-users\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">millions of users<\/a>. Frank was a huge, driving force behind this. By co-founding ownCloud, Inc. he provided an opportunity for ownCloud to become a safe home for sensitive enterprise data as well as the photos, music and documents that home users like myself enjoy.  ownCloud is relied upon in businesses and homes across the globe.<\/p>\n<p>It is never great to see a colleague leave and I\u2019ve known Frank for over a decade so I will miss him. The good news is that he has helped build a community with many exciting things going on. I&#8217;m proud to be involved with projects like <a href=\"https:\/\/owncloud.com\/blog\/pioneer-our-owncloud-pi-drives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Western Digital and the ownCloud Pi<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/owncloud.com\/blog\/spreed-brings-private-video-calls-to-owncloud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">real-time communication with Spreed<\/a> or that with <a href=\"https:\/\/owncloud.com\/blog\/libreoffice-online-has-arrived-in-owncloud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Collabora on LibreOffice Online integration<\/a>. These projects (and others like it) will continue to move forward. Here\u2019s to more greatness.
