ownCloud, the company, has announced the release of ownCloud 7 Enterprise Edition. One of the most notable features that make ownCloud unique and better than competitors is its Server-to-Server Sharing capabilities. What it means is that an organization can set-up ownCloud installations on separate locations (such as two universities or two offices of a company) and still share files without using shard links and users ever realising these are two separate servers. This way users get the privacy and control of a private ownCloud, and gain the flexibility and ease-of-use of a public cloud.
