Wow, do we have a great community here at ownCloud. And I mean really great! In 2015, 5 years after the initial inception of ownCloud, we had a grand total of 550 contributors, which is awesome. However, in just over a year since that number was recognized, we are proud to announce that we our community has reached over 1000 contributors. That is an 80% growth in just one year!
It is because of our community that ownCloud Inc. is the company it is today. So we do not take this announcement lightly. This is a great achievement for our entire environment and we could not be prouder. So thank you to all of you who have contributed to make ownCloud the success it is today, with over 8 million known users.
