Collabora Online for ownCloud Enterprise immediately available
Back in December Collabora joined our Community efforts by offering LibreOffice, collaborative editing in our Community Edition. Now we are excited to announce that it is also now available in our Enterprise Edition. This has been a long time coming and we have spent that time making sure that this collaboration would be perfect for our users. Our users have long been requesting an open source cloud document suite that can support all major file formats, that would increase productivity yet allow them to stay in complete control of data. Now both, LibreOffice and MS Office formats, are supported and teams will be able to collaborate with “shared editing.” Users can edit the document while the other users are able to see changes in real-time. This new feature resolves any potential version conflicts that may have presented in the past when users would work independently on the same document. This collaboration now happens online, inside the ownCloud web frontend making it even easier for users to collaborate on the same document together, in real time.
