Fujitsu ownCloud Gold Partner

Since 2015, Fujitsu has been providing its customers with the secure and award-winning enterprise file sharing of ownCloud. As a result of this successful cooperation, Fujitsu has now achieved Gold Partner status and can provide even better user experience and support in the future.

Fujitsu enables companies to benefit from the powerful file sharing cloud platform of ownCloud Enterprise, without compromising their data protection and security. With Fujitsu’s support, users with little to no experience with such platforms benefit from a customized private cloud environment. Using ownCloud in the company’s own data center gives IT full control over all file sharing activities at all times. Users can also simultaneously access company data easily and can securely exchange it from anywhere in the world, from any end device.

Benefits of Fujitsu Services for ownCloud Enterprise

Fujitsu provides its customers with a versatile private cloud platform to share and synchronize their data. The data is stored on-premises, such as on servers in our own data center. Authorized employees can then conveniently access all centrally stored data from a PC, smartphone or tablet. Features, such as special authorizations, give companies full control over their critical data and information at all times.

How Customers Benefit from the Partnership

Gold partnership status with ownCloud is an important step for the expansion of Fujitsu’s cloud portfolio. As Gold Partners, experts from Fujitsu are able to support companies to  implement ownCloud Enterprise, as well as to build a demand-oriented data infrastructure. Fujitsu serves as a point of contact for customers and independently provides first and second-level support. In order to succeed, employees receive intensive training of the program from ownCloud itself.

Another important aspect of the service offering is the individual service packages, which Fujitsu offers as an additional option. These options include consulting services, extensions, technical support and/or the implementation of a highly available infrastructure. Fujitsu experts install ownCloud into their customer’s data center and then integrate it into their existing IT infrastructure. Users are able to individually decide  whether or not they want to purchase the Fujitsu server and storage systems, as well as their ownCloud solution, in order to obtain a complete package from a single source.

The Server Systems are Available in the Following Packages:

  • Size S (for up to 250 users) – optional with a FUJITSU PRIMERGY RX2520 M1 Server
  • Size M (for up to 1,000 users) – optional with a Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX2520 M1 server and a Fujitsu ETERNUS DX100 S3 storage system
  • Size L (for larger companies with 1,000 to 10,000 users) – optional with two Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX2520 M1 servers and one Fujitsu ETERNUS CD10000 S2 hyper-scale storage system (basic configuration)
  • Size XL (upon request)

The Main Features of the Partnership

Since the “Trainee Business Project” initiated in 2015, the collaboration between Fujitsu and ownCloud has evolved into a successful partnership. The merger of ownCloud’s file sync and share technology with Fujitsu’s innovative storage solutions has been an ideal combination that is well received by the market. Becoming a ownCloud Gold Partner was, therefore, the next logical step.

Fujitsu acts as a distributor of its ownCloud technology and is able to significantly expand its own service portfolio. The percentage that is implemented by an official reseller or support service provider of ownCloud services, is the determining factor in obtaining a gold status partnership with ownCloud.
