With the extension of ownCloud for Microsoft Teams, organizations can make their ownCloud instances accessible as a tab directly in Microsoft’s collaboration software. This allows documents to be shared and edited securely and conveniently within Microsoft Teams. All the functions of ownCloud are available. For example, documents and folders can be shared or private and public links can be created for them. This way, shared files remain under full control and access is traceable and auditable.
The extension allows administrators to connect existing ownCloud and Teams setups quickly and easily. For maximum security, the extension generates a custom app that can be uploaded to the existing Teams instance. The app takes you through a short configuration process that creates a custom connector for the existing ownCloud instance. This connector can then be integrated into the existing Teams setup. This ensures that the extension meets the highest security standards.
