German mobile service provider mobilcom-debitel announced that it will use ownCloud to bring consumers secure, enterprise-grade file sync and share .
The company launched cloud storage for their almost 13 million customers based on ownCloud. mobilcom-debitel does not run their own network infrastructure, but resells very successful mobile communications services from mobile network operators Telekom, Vodafone, E-Plus and O2 in 530 branded shops, 6,000 sales points at retailers and superstores as well as online under the brand mobilcom-debitel.
For ownCloud, this partnership with one of Germany´s largest mobile service providers demonstrates how easily our software can scale while also providing users with a level of security that matches the strong German data protection laws.
Now, consumers and small businesses can store, sync and share their data from a trusted provider instead of anonymous third-party storage.
