With “ownCloud.online”, ownCloud introduces a new cloud solution that combines the advantages of open source and secure hosting in German data centers with the user-friendliness of public cloud services. The software can be quickly and easily set up, even without significant IT skills, making it suitable for companies and organizations without their own IT department. The solution is designed to meet the highest data protection requirements (including GDPR) in order to exchange highly sensitive personal data. The hosting takes place exclusively in fully certified German data centers and fits the highest security standards (including ISO 9001, ISO 27001). In the standard version, from 15 EUR per user per month, companies get 1TB of secure cloud storage for five users.

Focus on Security and Easy Operation

ownCloud.online is a modified version of the popular file-sharing software that has been tailored to meet the needs of small and medium businesses and departments. By combining ease-of-use and security, ownCloud.online also enables businesses and organizations to run their own file-sharing solution, that have been avoiding this step out of cost reasons or security concerns. The solution is, therefore, of particular interest to all industries that need to exchange sensitive data but do not have their own IT department, including doctors, medical laboratories, law firms, tax consultants, architects, consulting firms, advertising agencies and brokers, as well as medium-sized industrial companies with lean or outsourced IT.

With end-to-end encryption, ownCloud.online meets the highest privacy requirements. Especially for enterprise use, ownCloud.online offers additional security features such as file firewall, two-factor authentication and an administratable password policy. Individually configurable workflows, guest users and the free iOS and Android apps increase productivity compared to the conventional file exchange via Sharepoint, FTP server or email enormously. At the same time, there is full transparency and control over which files are shared with whom and if the recipient has accessed them.

ownCloud.online is now available at https://owncloud.online. Interested parties also have the opportunity to test the software for 30 days free of charge.
