In between all the release excitement, we published a new version of the Android ownCloud app to the app stores of Amazon, Blackberry and Google Play.

Version 1.7.2 introduces some cool improvements:

  • New navigation drawer
  • Improved Passcode
  • Automatic grid view just for folders full of images
  • More characters allowed in file names
  • Support for servers in same domain, different path

And of course the team resolved many bugs including several crashes, sync errors on servers with large quota and a share-by-link error.

Note that several of the above features were developed by or with help from users. Our Android app is open source (just like our iOS app) and your contributions are welcome.

Do not deploy in production. Do test against your apps and integrations.
