Open Source Solution Provider to resell ownCloud’s enterprise file sync and share

Lexington, MA – May 14, 2013 – ownCloud, Inc., the company behind the world’s most popular open source secure enterprise file sync and share software, announced today that Vizuri, a software design and development company with a diverse client base in both the private and public sectors, announced today a reseller deal that enables Vizuri to resell ownCloud’s on-premise, secure file sync and share technology.

With more than 850,000 users worldwide, ownCloud offers the ease-of-use, flexibility, sophistication and security unmatched by basic consumer-grade syncing apps and third-party storage. ownCloud Enterprise Edition becomes part of the existing infrastructure because it can be deployed fully on-premise, integrating into existing user directories, governance processes, security, monitoring, storage and back-up tools. And because ownCloud is open source and open by nature, plug-in apps extend ownCloud out of the box, enabling file versioning, file sharing, external file system mounts and much more. If additional applications or capabilities are needed, enterprises can easily extend ownCloud via an enhanced application plug-in architecture, and add it to their ownCloud server.

“ownCloud uniquely enables businesses to take control and implement secure file sync and share solutions within their own firewall, using existing tools they already have,” said Joe Dickman, senior vice president, Vizuri. “Our experience working with innovative open source technologies in large deployments makes the ownCloud partnership a great opportunity for us to deliver value to our customers.”

“Vizuri is uniquely qualified to help us expand our reach in the US and help us keep up with the enormous demand,” said Holger Dyroff, vice president, Sales and Marketing, ownCloud. “Vizuri’s vast experience delivering open source solutions uniquely enables them to efficiently get customers up and running.”
