“A lot of work has to be done – and will be done — to decouple the individual building blocks of cloud computing before consumers and users can choose what is best for them. Competition and a free market of components and applications are needed to unlock the full potential of cloud computing. Once again, users are clamoring for interoperability, openness, flexibility. Open source and open standards and APIs are the only option to make this happen.”
