You got it in ownCloud 7 Community Edition. Check out Frank’s blog here for details on this great feature – and all the other great additions and improvements in 7.

What does 7 mean for our customers – and those interested in becoming customers?

You can see more on the features here, and here and here and here. Bottom line is sharing becomes more flexible, admins get more control and end users get an easier-to-use tool.

ownCloud Community gives enthusiasts and technical users a free, secure and innovative way to sync and share data. In early Fall, we will launch a commercially-supported Enterprise Edition of ownCloud, targeting enterprise IT departments that require on-premises file sync and share for sensitive corporate data. The enterprise Edition receives months of additional testing, full documentation as well as additional enterprise-only features and of course support.

In the meantime, check out Community and a big thanks to all those in the ownCloud community that once again have created a great alternative to public cloud file sync and share.
